This ready-to-devour food zine offers a starting point for exploring how memories are tied to food as a symbol—shaped by moments, situations, warmth, imagination, culture, and everyday routines.

Every page you open, read, and turn is an invitation to join in and celebrate together.

Enjoy the feast!

How it was made.

The 9i99 project was first initiated by Nano Zantara. Expanding from the previous edition, this second issue shares stories about food as a symbol of celebration. What makes it even more interesting is that all contributors interviewed one another to uncover the diverse meanings of celebration that often go unnoticed.

27 personal anecdotes are written and contributed by 6616 team members, including various interns.

Each page was thoughtfully designed by Nano Zantara and Grace Patricia to reflect the character of each writer, and creatively brought to life by Nano Zantara, Maya Andiputri, Nathanael Kang, and Nindita Kirana.

Reading it feels like having a warm, honest conversation we didn’t know we need that takes us away from the overly commercialized way of looking at food.
